This is very much a blank space for ideas; I have a few thoughs, but they have yet coalesce into something solid.

Some thoughts, so far

  • Kandar have large extended families, which may either live together in a single large building, or several buildings scattered across the city.
  • Kandar don't tend to marry for life, although some tend to; thus we get plenty of half-brothers etc.
  • The clan is more important than the immediate family, at least for the nobility
  • Do lower-class Kandar have any equivalent to the clan, or does their guild take it's place?
  • It's already established that male children take their Father's clan, while female children take their mother's. Should property be inherited the same way?
